Hi Susan. Just added a pic. I actually didn’t wear the dress. I bought it local to me from another MOB (that’s her in the picture). My daughter ended up eloping so I now don’t need it! It really is gorgeous, the fabric is whisper light. The previous owner said she wished she had additional alterations done to make it more fitted ) more like her pic in the bridal store) but wanted to be comfortable, hence only the length was altered. Please let me know if you have any additional questions!

Sorry for the delay! I got caught making dinner and it almost slipped my mind! It’s difficult to measure accurately because of the lining, but from what I can see through the lining and feeling, there appears to be between 2-3” of material which can be let out.

I measured using the measuring tape and tried to feel the extra material the best I could. There’s definitely a fair amount!

@kimba555 Are you able to go between the lining and the outer dress at the hem? Maybe if you send a picture? 2-3” sounds like a lot not what is usually there. Where there any previous alterations?

I just checked again and the lining is sewn down throughout the dress so I can’t get underneath. I tried to press the lining as best I could against the extra material and measure at the same time and just posted that picture. It’s definitely at least 2” as shown.

Yes correct and possibly a little more - but for sure a minimum of 1” on either side. And to answer your previous question, the only alterations were to the length/hem.
