Vintage 1940s Black Velvet Pinafore Dress with Fur Trimmed Pockets Size S/M

Incredible 1940s black velvet pinafore dress with two wide straps, creating a plunging V neckline in the front and back. A very architectural, bold shape that is softened by the velvet and fur. Has two front patch pockets with real fur trim and hand sewn white contrast stitching. Talon metal zipper on the back on the skirt. Very good vintage condition with some light overall wear to the velvet. Purchased from Female Hysteria Vintage in 2020 & never wore. First photo is from their online store listing, other photos are mine. No tags. Unsure of fiber content, but based on its age and style I would guess it is cotton velvet. Fits variety of sizes due to pinafore style bodice. Probably best for a Small or Medium. Please reference the measurements below for sizing guidance.
