Antique McKee Prescut Covered Bowl in the Aztec Design. This stunning piece features a detailed Design featuring geometric and stellar motifs designed to emulate high-end cut glass. This includes Pinwheels and/or Hobstars surrounded by flowing arch patterns. Originally made of High Quality Brilliant Pressed Glass, this bowl now has a gorgeous Lavender / Purple tone due to the use of Manganese Dioxide by Glass Manufacturers prior to World War I. The high quality glass has often been referred to as Crystal due to its brilliant clarity. This gorgeous light Violet colored Covered Bowl has the "Pres Cut" mark embossed on the inside bottom of the bowl. Measures approximately 8.5" tall (including Lid) and is approximately 8.5" in diameter at its widest point. Solid and Very Heavy as it weighs nearly 6 lbs. Very versatile as either a functioning serving / storage piece, as a Centerpiece Display or as unique decor.
