This vintage black onyx ring is crafted from sterling silver, indicated by its "925" mark, and weighs 6.8 grams. The prominent feature is a large, oval-shaped black onyx gemstone set within an ornate bezel. The setting is intricately detailed with twisted rope or braid designs, small silver bead accents (also known as bobbles or dots), giving it a distinct Southwestern or boho-hippie aesthetic. The substantial design is complemented by its size, fitting a ring size of 5.5. The natural black onyx is durable enough for everyday wear and is often associated with strength and protection. Measurements are as seen in the photos .76”W and .93”W x .28”D. The comfortable band measures 2.5mm. This ring comes from my personal collection and was acquired many years ago. I rarely wore it. It is in extremely good condition. There is very minor wear on the band. The stone is free of wear or scratches. It is a beautiful Cabachon. This is not a flimsy ring but quite substantial at 6.8 gm.
