What didn’t fit well with these? My second toe is longer than the first so I need to go up 1/2 size (which is a 10) but I also like a wide toe box.

My toes are not cramped in these shoes, they have an ample toe box like all Altra shoes. but for some reason I didn't feel comfortable with them. Maybe I did not try hard enough to break them to my liking. Thank you for your question.
