1970s Adolfo Black with Abstract Tones Knit Midi Sweater Dress

Since the sizing tag is missing, I am placing this under a medium, but please go by the measurements.
It features a simple enough shape that still flatters the wearer, has ribbed cuffs with slim long sleeves. This dress is the interesting pattern knitted into the back and front. It's as if the dress is an artists palette with its purple and pastel pinks. A truly understated piece from Adolfo.
Adolfo was a Cuban born American fashion designer who began as a milliner in the 1950's. He was an apprentice at the House of Chanel and the House of Balenciaga until his friend Bill Blass gave him a loan and he opened his Millinery house in 1963. He went on to design couture garments in the 1970's and 1980's.
