Manufactured by Landers, Frary & Clark (L.F.&C.) in New Britain, Connecticut.
It is made of cast iron and features a hand crank with a wooden handle.
The "No. 2" refers to its size; different size models (00-3) were produced.
The chopper was first sold in 1897 and was a very popular kitchen appliance, often coming with different blades for fine, medium, or coarse grinding.
These manual food processors were commonly used in kitchens to process leftovers, vegetables, and cooked meat before the advent of electric food processors.
