Majorca Spain Dual Strand Pearl Necklace Watermelon Rainbow Rivoli Golden Clasp

** WOW WOW WOW ** This listing is for a dual strand of vintage, Majorca pearls made in Spain, new, old stock, complete with original tags. The pearls are in excellent condition. The clasp is fabulous. It is a watermelon Rivoli stone surrounded by gold tone metal. The original green and silver tone foil paper tag is still attached. They measure approximately 16" long. There is no flaking on the 6mm pearls. They are cream with a wonderful luster. Majorica pearls are high-quality imitations made by repeatedly dipping a glass or ceramic core into a secret pearlescent liquid (called essence d'orient), made from ground fish scales, then drying, polishing, and applying a final protective coating for durability and shine, mimicking natural pearls but with uniform perfection. This process involves many layers (30-40 times) to build up thickness and luster, creating a smooth, durable, and affordable alternative to genuine pearls.
