'Boston' is a self-titled, debut studio album by the American rock band. It was produced by guitarist Tom Scholz and John Boylan.
The album was released by Epic in August 1976 and broke sales records, becoming the most successful debut LP in the US at
the time. 'Boston' went to #3 on the US Billboard 200 and was certified Gold less than a month following its release.
All three singles became Top-40 hits with the lead single 'More Than A Feeling' reaching #5 and eventually being included in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame list of the "500 Songs That Shaped Rock and Roll."
The group had received numerous rejections from major record labels until the demo tape fell into the hands of CBS-owned Epic, which signed the band in 1975.
Nearly all eight tracks of the album remain in regular rotation on classic rock radio playlists and streaming platforms.
