This is a Nossa Senhora Aparecida (Our Lady of Aparecida) pendant or medal, a significant Catholic devotional item and the patroness of Brazil. The figure is made of solid sterling silver and features blue cubic zirconia stones on the mantle. The image is associated with an appearance of the Virgin Mary to three fishermen in Brazil in 1717. They caught the body of a statue in their nets, and then the head in a second cast, after which their nets were filled with fish, a miracle attributed to Mary's intercession.
