Made in Paris and hand painted by FR Ganeau, the Henri D'Arceau L. & Fils Le Femmes Series were produced in the 1960s as fashion was taking a turn to focus on the feminine becoming independent, noteworthy and somewhat controversial. This specific plate was painted and is dated 1979.These were custom painted by order from France and are a true collector's sweet find.
This particular design is the allure of the French female becoming more independent and sporting "pantalons" for the first time! Premiering fashion that went from day to night, modern females were adopting a standard of wearing pants!
This is a truly timeless piece produced in France. Made of porcelain it has its original hanger in perfect condition. No scrapes or notable paint flaws. This piece comes with the Certificate of Authenticity, the original order for North America instructions and the Women of the Century advertisement. You can find these plates in false reproduction or without the complete inclusion of the COA but very rare in this condition, with all of the original paperwork. This item has been stored in its protective case originally shipped to North American in 1979 and is in pristine condition.
