Original Vintage Men’s Antique US Army Cavalry Riding Boots

Vintage, Original and Antique Tall US Army officers’ cavalry riding boots. Very nice russet leather construction with leather stacked heels, leather soles, and interior boot straps (one is missing). Excellent condition for the age of the boots. They were made in the late 1800s - early 1900s. There are scuffs and scratches commensurate with the age of the boots. The soles show decent signs of wear. Length from heel to toe measured on the underside is about 9-1/2". Width (horizontal at ball) is about 3-1/2" Height is about 17". The boots seem to be very narrow. ⭐️Fun Fact: Leather riding boots were worn by members of the U.S. Cavalry Units during World War I. The tall shafts of these riding boots helped to protect cavalry soldiers' lower legs from debris kicked up by their horses, as well as protecting from riding impact against their horses.
