Single mom made a decision to free us from our tiny apartment vs getting a wheelchair van wasn't easy, but I chose to buy us a home adapted to her needs. The struggle to use her power wheelchair in the public giving her independence looms in the air. We live in rural PA & yes they have public transit for the disabled but that's only for her not a caregiver & sadly she can't be without a caregiver, so that is not an option. Also she can't be with all the germs, in 2022 she had an empyema & has lost some ability to cough despite the pleural sac healing but it has left some scarring. So being in close quarters with other patrons is not optimal. Private transit is a must. We need your help to do it, we sure do welcome sales from our closet any day, or feel free to check out our Amazon & Walmart registries. A go fund me is currently being set up. (PS we tried an electric lift for the back of my explorer (4wd is necessary at times) but it was too much weight and caused me to have brake & rear suspension issues (we bent the lift after about 10 uses).
