minhletutu @ked737 10 inch across. 8 in down. Shoulder drop is about 7 in. As for smell.i can smell maybe faint smokey if I put my nose direct to it. (Also I have PTSD for smoke smell, so could be in my head?) Your nose may or may not be more sensitive to it I washed it machine twice. Since it's white you can dye this bag. Thank you
