One Salad Plate.
8 1/4” diameter.
John Aynsley, United Kingdom.
Queen’s Garden.
Blue Enameled Scalloped with Golden Rim.
Discontinued pattern and colorway.
This gorgeous Vintage Salad Plate has a lovely soft blue background.
A grey filigree scrolling inside the first inch with alternating grey floral bouquets.
The golden outer trim is very light decorative glaze not a solid metal, and varies in coverage throughout due to age.
Highly detailed inner plate is a palace scene with lovely wispy trees, meandering stream and banks, with lattice garden wall below.
Below the trees are 2 bright floral bouquets with Pink roses, Blue delphinium, Orange poppies, Yellow daisies, and White jasmine.
Green leaves are gently surrounding and accent the bouquets.
Photos show item in several lightings.
The blue is considered a very, very light powder blue with a hint of robin’s egg color.
Just enough to be a soothing background for the other colors to stand out.
Sometimes appears gray but is a light blue.
From my personal collection.
*more plates are available as shown in photos, please inquire.
