Zips about halfway down the front and there is an optional modesty panel that snaps in place on one side and is pinned in place on the other side because half the snap came off. The anchor belt buckle hooks in the front and the belt itself measures 15.5 inches hook to hook. Laying flat the dress measures 18 inches armpit to armpit and can be unzipped a little more Should you wish. In my opinion, it’s not a deep cut dress so the modesty panel is not really necessary. 15 inches straight across the waist and 19 inches across the hip.
