FOR SALE :-)! Stunning, vibrant royal Amish antique quilt, passed to me; made in Wisconsin it's an heirloom piece, traditionally hand quilted and hand appliqued with care. It's massive, a bit larger than a king, which can be called a California King - giving you plenty of room for it to drape. This required so much attention and detail, it's amazing and truly unique. It's breathtaking to me, and special, so I'm both extremely excited and extremely nervous to list it – both in one!! I can no longer ask further questions as the giver has now passed on to a better place, but there's just no way one woman made this; this was a true fellowship and would have taken weeks. I observe this stitching by needle and thimble and see no modern machinery; it's amazing. This deserves to be passed down, which I am unable to do (such is life) and it is DEEPLY important to me that this go to a home where it will be cherished, so PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE if you are not moved. Amish quilting history runs deep. In homes with no modern amenities, telephones or electricity, skills become honed to perfection and bring the greatest joy. An untouched pastime, stitched by real fingers, such love goes into these. Amish quilters have a beautiful eye for detail which is why even smaller ones can sell for thousands; you're talking months!
