Heirloom Hand Stitched Amish Quilt, Stunning Vintage Heritage, Antique XL King

READ ALL! This stunning vibrant royal Amish antique quilt was passed to me; made in Wisconsin it's an heirloom, traditionally hand quilted and hand appliqued. It's BIG, a bit larger than a king (aka "California King") giving you plenty of room for it to drape. This won't have all the batting you're used to, or be puffy; these STUNNING vintage pieces were like bedspreads and yet you can feel how heavy they are even still b/c there's SO much material; to me, it's breathtaking. NOTE some staining and age spots like what I've photo'd. I can no longer ask questions as giver has passed on, but I doubt one woman made this; by tradition this was a true fellowship and would have taken weeks. I observe this stitching by needle and thimble and see no modern machinery. This deserves to be passed down, which I'm unable to (such is life) and it's DEEPLY important to me this go to a home it will be cherished: PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE if you're not moved. Amish quilting history runs deep. In homes w/no modern amenities, telephones or electricity, skills become honed to perfection and bring great joy. An untouched pastime, stitched by real fingers, love goes into these. Amish quilters have a beautiful eye for detail which is why even smaller ones can sell for thousands; you're talking months!
