RAN OUT IF CHARACTERS - MORE INFO IN FIRST COMMENT Bag is clean! Interior & exterior were treated w/distilled white vinegar as a precaution. Bag was turned inside out & brushed out, then scrubbed w/ the foam from castile soap diluted in distilled water. No odors. The leather is beautiful & soft - has some gorgeous texture & striations. No hang tag. This bag has some sort of colorant on it. Maybe something along the lines of shoe polish, but not positive. I had the bag in my possession for several months & didn’t notice anything “off” about it. I even conditioned w/Leather CPR & buffed, & didn’t notice any color loss. Decided on whim one day when I was already cleaning another bag to take a pass at this one - that’s when I realized it had some kind of colorant on it. I have cleaned the bag 3 more times. Conditioned & rested for 2-3 weeks between each cleaning. Colorant is coming off w/each cleaning but it would probably go much more quickly w/a more specialized product for removing colorant. Or just use it as is. Has some scuffs & scratches. Break in the binding/trim at the bottom of the bag. Break & some worn areas in the binding/trim on the strap.
