Vintage Japanese Ichimatsu Doll

This is a traditional Japanese Ichimatsu doll. Made of a ceramic composition body covered in gofun (a paste made from crushed oyster shells). She is dressed in a traditional silk kimono, accompanied by a vibrant jacket. Originating in the Edo period, these dolls were modeled after popular Kabuki actors and were designed for changing clothes. See pics for measurements Quick ship
