Vintage 1960's men's earthy brown black & cream Hawaiian button shirt with a large turtle on the back labeled "Tuimalila" - this is in reference to a tortoise that Captain James Cook was traditionally said to have given to the royal family of Tonga in 1777 which died in 1966 at about 188 years old! The tribal ethnic print also includes geometric elements & stylized canoes. Pointy collar, front pocket & faux coconut plastic buttons. The fabric is a textured crepe bark cloth which was wildly popular from the 1950's-1970's for Hawaiian garments. Very good vintage condition; a couple thread pulls (pinkie finger pointing to one above the pocket).
Size tag illegible; estimate size XL. Please compare approximate FLAT measurements to a shirt that fits you well:
19" shoulders
25" chest
29-30" length
