Vintage Egyptian Wood & Mother Pearl Inlay Trinket Box Lined Red Velvet Hexagon This piece would be "excellent" except for a piece of lacquer that has come off the bottom. The rest of the box presents as "new." It is a gorgeous example of intricate inlay work with bone, mother of pearl and other piece crating an ornate décor. The inside of the box is inlaid with a rich red fabric. Measure 5 inches in diameter and 2 inches tall. The lid opens and closes with a hinge that is in perfect working condition. Made in Egypt and noted on bottom as April 2004.
