1963 Shrinkin’ Violette doll from Mattel with a pull-string mechanism designed to make her lips and eyes move when she talks. SHE WORKS!
Dated 1963
She features a cloth body, purple dress and yellow yarn hair.
It was produced as part of "The Funny Company" educational television series.
She says phrases like "I'm called Shrinking Violet” “I’m afraid of noisy boys”, “Will you be my friend?”, “Will you take care of me?” and “People are always so big”
Condition as shown in photos. She was truly loved my a little girl in the 60’s! Stains and a repair on one arm. I have not tried to clean her.
