Possible vintage TAXCO sterling silver Hippopotamus charm or pendant!

For being as small as it is, this thing has got some weight to it. This pendant/charm is part of a friend's estate I am helping with. This beauty was part of her collection. So for being about an inch wide and .75 (with bail included) tall, this pendant/charm is a show stopper. The bail has "Mex 925" and then the T lettering (vintage stamp for taxco) has been worn off but the numbers 277 and dash are still present. Which leads me to believe that this piece is indeed Taxco.
