1940's Hand Carved Tramp Art Dresser Valet

Vintage from the 1940's. Scottie dog Dresser valet caddy. These were used for many small items; this one was intended for the smoker. The box was to hold a pack of cigarettes. Match holder/candle holder. Ashtray and change compartment. Even a piece of wood to hold a match box striker. These are becoming very hard to find. Very good condition. The Scottie dog looks like he had something in his mouth, now just some glue. 13 1/2" Wide X 6 1/2" Deep X 6 1/2" Tall Very cool, Great conversation starter. The origins of tramp art are somewhat obscured, with the term "tramp work" first used in 1959 by a Pennsylvania folklorist.
