This vintage Coach crossbody has a slouchy character but is actually more structured than you might think - in the first picture the bag is empty and this is its resting position. It is made of the almost indestructible glove-tanned leather; these bags are often said to be like "leather tanks." This process causes the leather to develop lots of character and patina over time, but to sustain very little real damage. Thier rugged durability, heritage American craftsmanship, and the unique beauty of their leather, all make such bags desirable and highly sought after by Coach collectors and enthusiasts. Unfortunately, the end of the strap of this particular bag has been cut, leaving a rough edge in need of repair - the price reflects this consideration. Also worth noting is that these bags, due to their lack of a lining and the quality of their leather, can be restored more easily and with better results than most modern designer bags.
