Vintage Orrefors Olle Iberius Design Crystal Swirl Octagon Bowl Signed NIB

This gorgeous Orrefors Sweden Residence series bowl was designed by Olle Iberius. It is new in its original box, is hand signed on underside & bears original Orrefors sticker. It is octagon in shape with a sleek Scandinavian Modern swirl design & measures approximately 3.25" H x 4.75" W. It is .50" thick & weighs 1lb 14oz. It was manufactured between 1986 to 2014 & now discontinued. I am selling a beautiful collection of Vintage crystal, which was owned by a friend's Mother,  who collected it but never used it.   What a great opportunity to begin or add to your collection at a great price.  Superior Vintage Craftsmanship! A little background on the designer, Olle Iberius: Vintage bowl was created by Olle Alberius for Orrefors Sweden as a part of Residence series; it features undulating curved faceted sides in clear crystal. Residence series was in production from 1986 to 2014. The bowl is marked with "Orrefors" in etching on the bottom. Olle Alberius (1926-1993) was a renowned Swedish glass designer and ceramicist. Alberius trained in ceramics at the Stockholm College of Art, Crafts and Design from 1952–56. Over the course of his career, he worked in ceramic design at Syco and Rörstrand (1963–71); in 1971 he came to Orrefors Glasbruk. Many Alberius pieces were made using the traditional Orrefors glass-blowing techniques of Ariel, Ravenna, and Graal, though crystal was his favorite medium. His works are in collection of the Swedish National Museum of Art and Design.
