Rare vintage Gassy Jack / Gastown Mercantile Ltd. patchwork suede jacket from Vancouver, Canada. This stunning late-1960s / early-1970s coat features bold multicolor suede panels in purple, rust, red, brown, gray, mustard, and tan, arranged in a beautiful symmetrical rainbow stripe design.
The jacket has a classic mod trapeze / swing silhouette with a rounded Peter-Pan style collar and a full front row of metal snap closures. It flares slightly toward the hem, giving it that iconic 1960s mod and boho fashion look.
These Gastown jackets were part of the vibrant fashion scene in Vancouver during the late 60s and early 70s and are now highly collectible vintage pieces.
