Vintage ceramic green & brick red rectangle ashtray | mid-century | man cave

This ashtray come from a time when your Aunt or Grandma could send you to the party store with a note saying: "2 packs of Pall Malls and a six pack of Strohs" and a $10 bill and you had change to buy some candy. Great addition to any bar or console table to collect change, keys or your phone or as the name suggests a great place to rest your "ash". New old stock mid-century ashtray. Rectangular ashtray with a two tone brick colored trim with various animals create a border around a pretty rich green glazed bowl with a snake like ridge with notches to hold cigarettes. The animals include fish, birds and deer. The red and gold oval sticker reads "Original Dee Bee Co. Imports" - Hand Painted Japan. Size: approx. 11" x 7.5" x 1.25" Ashtray has a few manufacturer flaws such as thin spots in glaze and there is a small spot where red paint/glaze is on the green, also there is a possible nip but most likely a small spot of missing glaze on one of the high spots on the cigarette notches. These are unused old stock from an importer.
