Beautiful vintage mother of pearl lotus set. Made from natural mother of pearl (MOP) shells, which give the petals their characteristic iridescence and off-white/cream color. The petals are layered and secured to a metal base, made of brass or gold-tone alloy. Brooch is signed Japan. Vintage between 1940 and 1960.
