This is a vintage Gund "Regal Beagle" plush dog with a rubber face and sleep eyes. It was introduced by Gund in 1954 and sold throughout the 1960s, becoming one of their most popular toys. The eyes are designed to open and close as the toy is moved. The face was typically painted by hand. Its face is a molded plastic or rubber material with painted eyes, a black nose, and a red tongue. The dog wears a yellow collar with silver-toned studs.
