Handmade Guatemalan Embroidered Sash Belt Mayan Bird Animal Textile Faja

Pre-owned handmade belt in very good condition. Embroidery and woven textile remain vibrant with no major damage observed. Beautiful handwoven Guatemalan sash belt featuring colorful Mayan geometric panels with stylized bird and animal motifs. The design is woven into the textile band and framed with bright magenta edging. The reverse side shows a black backing and the ends finish in long ties for wrapping and securing the belt. These belts are traditionally handmade by Mayan artisans and are commonly referred to as faja belts. Approximate total length: ~88 inches (measured folded in photos)
