Rama Llama - SUPER RARE MAIL AWAY Jem & the Holograms Pink Llama Vintage . In good used condition considering its age. Well taken care of. There is a small discoloration spot near its ear as shown. There is also some glue residue on the center of the face and the one ear- Haven't tried to remove it. Thats how it came. . No accessories included. The fur is in very good condition. . From the internet- 🦙 What it actually is A hot pink llama toy made by Hasbro around 1987–1988. It’s meant to be Jem’s pet/mascot in the toy line. Made of plastic with fabric/fur elements, scaled to go with the Jem dolls. 👉 Important: It was NOT sold in stores. --- 📬 Why it’s rare (this is the key part) 1. Mail-away exclusive (biggest reason) You could only get it by mailing in proofs of purchase (“Jemstar points”) + an order form. These types of promos always had very low redemption rates (kids had to save, mail, and wait). ➡️ That alone makes it far rarer than normal toys. --- 2. Limited production window The offer had a deadline around 1988 and was only available for a short time. Once expired, it was never reissued. --- 3. The line was basically dying The Jem toy line was losing popularity and nearing cancellation when Rama Llama was released. ➡️ Fewer kids were buying toys → fewer people even had the chance to mail away for it.
