SWAROVSKI brooch of a large winged figure hippocampus mythical creature with purple and clear rhinestones set in hand polished gold plated setting, 3-1/4" by 2-1/2". After years of thinking this was a griffon, a dragon or serpent, I ran across a web page that showed it as a "hippocampus", a mythological animal described as a horse of the sea and ridden by sea gods. It is definitely a brooch with great presence, and it is in brand new condition.
