Unique handmade salt and pepper shakers from Mexico. Approximately 4 1/4 inches in length, approximately 2 1/4 inches tall and approximately 2 inches wide at the base. The basic color of the roosters are tannish. The rooster is adorned with a rusty color, blue and black and green colors. The base of the salt shaker is lighter tan, and the base of the pepper shaker is a darker tan almost brown. These are very primitive shakers. There are no stoppers in the rough openings on the bottoms. The shakers are made of a clay-like material that is cracking on both bases. Review all pictures closely because paint is missing on one of the wings of the salt shaker. Especially see face and neck areas for chipping, missing clay, chipping paint and fading colors. There is a discoloration on the tops of the shakers that does not clean with a wet cloth. Very old and fragile vintage collectors item. To best be to use as decoration in a Mexican themed home kitchen or Mexican restaurant to display for a little bit of history. Due its age it is sold as is.
