Vintage Chinese Reverse Painted Glass Snuff Bottle

This beautiful vintage stuff bottle is a continuous black-ink landscape painting in the traditional shan shui (mountain-water style. Inside painted. The stopper is a rounded reddish-orange carnelian. There is a little wearing off of the material on the inside of the stopper from age, but it fits securely. Symbolizes a small human figure (likely a scholar or traveler) representing harmony with nature, solitude, and reflection. Measures 3" x 2". Dated from 1940s-1970s. Excellent overall condition with fine detailed brushwork. No cracks or chips.
