This is a vintage Pine Bluff High School (PBHS) pendant or charm, from the mid-20th century.
The pendant features an Art Deco-style geometric stepped frame with black enamel. At the center is a circular emblem with a "lamp of knowledge" (a common educational symbol).
This piece belonged to my mother (she graduated from Pine Bluff High School in 1956. The school is located in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, and is known for its unique "Zebra" mascot.
These types of pendants were often given as graduation gifts or were part of a "class key" or charm collection. While PBHS colors are officially cardinal (crimson) and white, many high school charms from this era used gold and black enamel for a formal look.
I'm open to reasonable offers and bundles, please take a peek in my closet.
