A vintage, first edition copy of PT 109 - John F. Kennedy in World War II by Robert J. Donovan. This book tells the story of John F. Kennedy and the PT 109 as well as other extraordinary stories of the future president's time in the South Pacific during the war. The author travelled more than 30,000 miles to interview hundreds of people, including John F. Kennedy and every other survivor of the PT 109. The book also contains an introductory letter by President Kennedy and several black and white photographs. This copy is hardbound with a dust jacket. The dust jacket has some tears and has been taped but the hard cover retains its beautiful blue coloring. It shows some wear, especially at the corners and along the edges. The binding is tight. The pages are intact, unmarked and show some age-related yellowing. (See photos for details.) A solid reading copy. 247 pages.
