This is an original embroidered patch from The Bismuth Cartridge Company, featuring their trademarked No-Tox branding. The company was a pioneer in the early 1990s for developing non-toxic shot alternatives for hunters, particularly those using vintage shotguns that could not handle modern steel shot. This specific patch features a dark forest green background with vibrant white, red, and lime green embroidery and a gold-toned stitched border.
Based on the company history and the branding style, this patch was likely manufactured between the mid-1990s and the mid-2000s. The Bismuth Cartridge Company was founded by Robert Petersen in the early 90s and ceased original operations around 2007 following his passing, making this a nostalgic piece of hunting history from that era.
The condition appears to be excellent vintage. The embroidery is tight with no visible fraying or loose threads on the front. The colors remain bright and the shape is crisp. The back shows clean bobbin work and appears never to have been sewn onto a garment, as there are no needle holes or fabric remnants.
