An incredible handmade bag by the Wayuu indigenous artisans from the La Guajira region of Northern Columbia. These beautiful bags have been made for generations and often taking 15-20 days to complete. It's a black and cream with braided drawstrings and fabulous large tassels. The sturdy strap is hand-loomed and is 2.75" wide. It measures laying flat approx 14" wide, 12" in height and and a depth of 6.5" to the circular base. It's in excellent condition and is hand washable. The last pic is a different pattern but gives an idea of the silhouette. These Chila bags are celebrated as wearable art, with each unique geometric pattern representing the artisan's personal cultural heritage. Thanks for looking!
