This intricately detailed pewter charger plate features a classic English coat of arms and scalloped edges.
Diamond Phillips' Old Place Restaurant in Grosse Pointe Park, on the corner of Beaconsfield and East Jefferson. The Old Place was owned by Diamond Phillips, also the owner of the Golden Lion and Little Harry's in Detroit. He lived above the Old Place. It is a piece of Grosse Pointe history. The back marking is RWP.
