An exceptional find for the serious porcelain collector. This authentic German Meissen porcelain pen tray features the iconic "Marcolini" era mark (Crossed Swords with Star), dating the design to the late 18th/early 19th century.
DESIGN & CRAFTSMANSHIP:
Pattern: Exquisite hand-painted Purple Violets (Pensees) in the classic Dresden style.
Accents: Delicate 24K gold gilded rim.
Form: Classic elongated tray (Mold #6197).
Markings: Underglaze blue crossed swords with star. Impressed model number "6197" and former's mark "28".
MEASUREMENTS: 8.25" L x 2" W
CONDITION: Collector grade. No chips, cracks, or repairs. The gold gilding shows virtually no wear, which is rare for a piece of this age.
