My husband was diagnosed with an aggressive Stage 4B Cancer last summer. We wanted more than anything for him to beat this awful disease, so we did what we thought was right, we packed up, sold almost everything & relocated to NYC where he could be treated by the BEST at MSK. He started treatment in August & for months was having treatments of some kind 5 days a week. He had very aggressive radiation as well nasty chemo. He completed his treatments shortly after Christmas, but continues to see doctors, specialists, etc weekly. He has also had two surgeries since then as well. This has been a HUGE financial burden on us, because he was not able to work(still can’t work) & I was not able to work because I am his full time care taker.
