VNTG SHREVE CRUMP & LOW GURGLING COD FISH GLOSSY GREEN PITCHER//MADE IN ENGLAND

This is a VINTAGE (1940’s) Shreve, Crump & Low Gurgling Cod Fish Pitcher in a gorgeous green glossy glaze. The pitcher is shaped like a fish, with the tail forming the handle. These fish-shaped pitchers are famous for the distinctive "gurgling" or "glugging" sound they make when liquid is poured from them, caused by air trapped in the fish's tail. This one measures approximately 11” tall and 7.5” across. It is in good vintage condition with no chips or cracks, but does have all over crazing which is consistent with its age. There is one flaw on the bottom edge of the base shown in the last pic. It does not affect the functionality of the piece. Made in England. Conversation starting piece of SERVEWARE or DECOR!! PD10
