Extraordinary vintage 1940’s Italian Florentine gold gilded string-pull music box. Plays “Edelweiss”. Original sticker label: Reuge Swiss Musical Movement. Imprinted Made in Switzerland. Hand painted and hand carved. Excellent condition w/ paint wear chipping as shown around some edges. String pull functions perfectly but very delicate and must be pulled with great caution as to not over pull and ruin string. Backing to actual music box is a durable plastic material and has a little warp just from age but nothing is damaged and plays beautifully! Measures approximately: 8 3/4” long by 6 1/2” wide.
