Red Wing Pottery refers to American stoneware, pottery, or dinnerware made by a company initially established in Red Wing, Minnesota in 1861 by German immigrant John Paul. Red Wing changed names several times until finally settling on Red Wing Potteries, Inc. in 1936. The pottery factory that started in 1861 continues to the present day under the names of Red Wing Pottery and Red Wing Stoneware. Red Wing made dinnerware in more than 100 hand decorated patterns from 1935 to 1967. The Red Wing "Bob White" pattern was produced from 1956 to 1967 then discontinued.
This mid-century modern set of 7 Red Wing "Bob White" 8.0" Salad Plates has the "Bob White by Red Wing" mark stamped on the base confirming the maker and pattern (see photos). plates which measure 8.0" in diameter and sit 0.75" tall are in very good condition with no scratches, chips, or cracks, in fact the plates appear to have never been used only displayed.
