This item is a Native American breastplate, handcrafted from buffalo bone hairpipe beads, leather, and metal spacers.  Materials: Features white and dark buffalo bone beads arranged in 36 rows, held together by leather cord and decorative metallic beads.  Design: Measures approximately 12inches long and 8 inches wide, featuring fringe on both sides.  Usage: Traditionally used by Plains Indians as decorative regalia for dances, ceremonies, or formerly as protection in battle.
