I could hardly believe it when I rediscovered this belt in my closet. It is nearly an antique! It is definitely vintage since I purchased it over FORTY years ago! This says a lot for the quality and craftsmanship of Paloma Picasso's leather goods. The "X" design found throughout the belt became eponymous with Paloma's signature. Her meaning of the symbol is "hugs & kisses". The belt is black suede on top stitched to black smooth leather on the obverse. The gold tone buckle features Paloma Picasso's signature as a registered trademark. There are fifteen total "hug and kiss" symbols along the belt. Four of the fifteen feature Paloma's signature. The belt is in wonderful condition considering it's age. The only signs of wear is on the gold tone pieces that have signs of wear from being pulled through belt loops. A bit of silver shows through if you look closely. When it's on, it's barely noticeable.
