This is a vintage double-strand necklace made of irregular, polished Sodalite chips, part of the Desert Rose Trading (DTR) Mine Finds collection by well-known designer Jay King.
While Lapis Lazuli and Sodalite both share a deep blue hue, Sodalite often contains more white veining and lacks the brassy pyrite flecks frequently found in Lapis Lazuli.
This piece was designed by Jay King for his line of "Mine Finds" jewelry on the HSN channel. The clasp is marked with his signature "DTR 925 China" mark (see photos).
This piece features natural "chips" or freeform stones. While this necklace's irregular chip style is a common raw-stone design, Jay King elevates these with his signature sterling silver (.925) findings and unique stone sourcing from locations like South Africa or the Congo.
This piece features a double-strand layout with a silver shepherd's hook clasp with an adjustable extender chain with a signature heart-shaped charm.
See photos for approximate length.
I purchased this from the estate of an elderly lady that loved fine jewelry and took good care of each piece.
I'm open to reasonable offers and bundles, please take a peek in my closet.
