Add a touch of 80s "Island Luxe" to your wardrobe with this stunning, oversized statement necklace.
Attributed to Hawaiian designer Lee Sands, this piece is a beautiful example of his signature use of organic, earth-derived materials and bold tropical motifs. While many of his pieces from the 1980s and beyond carry a signature—often a stamped "LS" or his full name on the clasp—it is common to find older or early treasures that are completely unsigned.
THE MATERIALS:
• Carved Focal Point: A large, intricate Mother of Pearl (MOP) hibiscus flower with multi-colored shell inlay in shades of sunset pink, yellow, and seafoam green.
• Triple-Strand Gemstones: A lush layout of genuine natural gemstone chips including:
• Amethyst: Vibrant purple chips.
• Rose Quartz: Soft, cloudy petal-pink chips.
• Green Fluorite: Translucent, seafoam-green chips.
AUTHENTIC HARDWARE:
• Original vintage filigree box clasp with a fishhook safety catch. The clasp springs and locks firmly, ensuring a very secure fit.
CONDITION:
Excellent vintage condition. The gemstones are lustrous, and the carved MOP flower is intact with a beautiful iridescent sheen.
• Necklace Length: 32"
• Centerpiece Size: Approx. 5"x 3"
Perfect for: Boho Statement, Tropical Vacations, 80s Designer Collectors, and Nature-Inspired style.
