This is a vintage John F. Kennedy coin bank, manufactured by Banthrico Inc., Chicago U.S.A. These coin banks were typically made of a zinc alloy with a bronze or copper finish. The bust features the name "JOHN F. KENNEDY" and the years "1917 - 1963" inscribed on the front. These banks were often given as promotional gifts by banks and are now collectible memorabilia. This bank was presented by Manchester Savings & Loan in Coventry, Connecticut. Many of these vintage banks were designed to be locked and often require a specific key to open the bottom plate.
